The Flight of the Falcone

Plenty of those bikes will be the transverse V-twins for which Guzzi is best known, but the model that sums-up the now 101-year-old manufacturer best of all is arguably a 498cc single. The Falcone, with its horizontal cylinder and distinctive, external ‘bacon slicer’ flywheel, was produced for decades, and traces its lineage right back to the Normale single with which Carlo Guzzi and Giorgio Parodi began Moto Guzzi production in 1921.
