The show actually started in 1931, before moving to the NEC on an annual basis in 1989. It was known for some time as the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show before being renamed Motorcycle Live in 2010. And whether you enjoy biking as a hobby or as a sport, everyone looks forward to Motorcycle Live. As well as hundreds of motorbikes, there are expert talks, custom builds, interactive activities, breathtaking displays and much more. And the last show has been hailed the most interactive, entertaining and action-packed event in the show’s history.
Among the interactive features at the show were various opportunities to ride a bike, with activities for all ages and levels of experience. Companies Strider and Arenacross were busy getting youngsters on two wheels, while Get On’s Two Wheel Taster and BMW’s Rookie to Rider targeted new riders. The Test Ride Zone, Experience Adventure and the Yamaha Dark Side MT Tour allowed licenced motorcyclists to take a selection of great models for a spin while the ACU offered the chance to try some Trials riding while H-D also had their Jump Start program up and running.
